Yes, in an attempt to woo the large user base that faces internet issues, an Italian company has launched ChatSim (earlier known as WhatSim), a messaging-only SIM that comes with a plan that will let you use various popular messaging apps for free while travelling across about 150 countries. With a minimal fee charged, the sim is to inserted in your mobile phone and it then allows you to send and receive unlimited texts for a year.

Earlier invented to support WhatsApp only, ChatSim now lets you chat for free, 24 hours a day, with all messaging systems in the world: QQ, WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, WeChat, Skype, Viber, Line, KakaoTalk, Telegram, Snapchat, Twitter, Hangouts, iMessage and all other apps for smartphones and tablets.
However, while there is no extra charge for communication via texts, contacts, documents and location updates, users are asked to credits for sharing multimedia messages such as photos, videos and voice messages.

The innovative sim is available for a buy via the ChatSim website and also on Amazon.
